The client is responsible for proper care of the placenta until arrangements are made for pick-up.
Full service placenta clients will make sure the placenta is put on ice if it will be longer than 2 hours until the placenta can be picked up. Duluth Placenta Express clients will follow the detailed instructions that are shipped to them with the storage and transport kit. Keeping the placenta food safe is the responsibility of the client. If you are a Duluth Placenta Express client you may need to check your ice levels every 4-6 hours while you are waiting for scheduled pick up.
The First Place on Earth Responsibility & Timelines
The First Place on Earth will arrange for professional pick-up of your placenta after being notified that it is ready.
Full service clients will call when they are ready for pick-up 24 hours a day. Full service clients can expect their capsules and any other requested items about 48 and no more than 72 hours after the placenta is picked up unless arrangements to delay service have been made in advance or in the case or a personal or family emergency on behalf of Jesse Dykhuis.
Duluth Placenta Express clients will call between 8am and 5pm to make arrangements for pick up or text with the following information: Last Name, Time of Birth, Location. Pick-ups will happen within 12-18 hours of request. In the event your due date falls in a month when Jesse has plans to be out of town for longer than 24-36 hours, you will be notified prior to the unavailable time and given options for the alternate handling of your placenta. This can include a private courier picking up your placenta and storing it in The First Place on Earth dedicated workspace refrigerator until I return to Duluth -or- you will be offered the opportunity to work with an alternate provider. This rarely happens and in some cases, a delay of service discount may be offered.
Duluth Placenta Express clients will have their capsules shipped back to them at their home address they provided during the registration process. Processing takes about 48 hours and Jesse Dykhuis (TFPOE) will always choose the fastest safe shipping option available. Capsules may be delayed by holidays or severe weather. Capsules will be shipped in non-glass containers and send insured with tracking. The tracking information will be made available to the client at the time that the capsules are shipped.
Fees and Refunds
Duluth Express Clients must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration to cover the costs of the transport and storage kit and shipping. The balance is due at the time the placenta is picked up. Payment can be made in full at any time through the invoice generated during the registration process. You can review your order specifics at any time by clicking the link below. The deposit is non-refundable, but the balance payment will be refunded if I am unable to complete your processing for any reason.
Full service clients pay at the time of capsules delivery.
Payments can be made online through the invoice or at pick-up/delivery by cash, check or credit card. Requests for payment plans or other arrangements must be made in advance.
Once I have taken possession of your placenta and this contract is signed, there will be no refund and payment in full will be due, even if you choose not to take delivery of the finished capsules.
Should an error in processing occur or if for some reason I am unable to complete the services as contracted there will be no charge for any partially completed work and the client will be given the option of taking the placenta back for an alternative use if possible or I will dispose of it according to the local and state regulations regarding biohazardous waste.
